”זה רוק” היא תחנת הרדיו הראשונה בישראל שמוקדשת כל כולה למוזיקת רוק, על כל סוגיה וגווניה. פרויקט ”זה רוק” החל את דרכו בשנת 2014 כעמוד פייסבוק, במטרה לקדם את הרוק הישראלי, לתת במה לאמנים, להקות, נגנים ומעריצים, ע”י העלאה ושיתוף של שירים, הופעות ואירועים, וכל דבר נוסף שיסייע בקידום סצנת הרוק בישראל. ”זה רוק!” הוקם ע”י שישה מנהלים מנוסים בניהול קהילות ועמודי פייסבוק בינלאומיים וישראליים, שעבורם רוקנרול זה דרך חיים. באוקטובר 2015, לאחר שנה של פעילות ענפה ברשת החברתית, במהלכה צבר העמוד קהל עוקבים רב, החל שידורה של תכנית רדיו שבועית בתחנת הרדיו של מכללת אורנים הנושאת את אותו שם, אשר הגדילה את קהל העוקבים והמאזינים משבוע לשבוע והוכיחה כי ישנה הצדקה וקיים ביקוש מעשי להקמת תחנת רדיו שתשדר 24/7 רוק ומטאל. לאחר שנתיים של שידור התכנית, החליט הצוות לקחת את הרעיון צעד אחד קדימה ולהפכו למציאות. בנובמבר 2017, לאחר קמפיין גיוס המונים מוצלח, הוקמה תחנת הרדיו ”זה רוק”, אשר משדרת מוזיקה ישראלית ולועזית על טהרת הרוק בשידור חי מאולפניה אשר ממוקמים בצפון הארץ.
